I will like to inform you that last week the dismissed six collected a small part of our compensation claim, amounting to twoorthree months wages for each of them. In average it means around 1000 RMB each. This is still a long way from our original claim of one to two years wages. While refusing to give up our claim we decided to take the partial compensation first. We will continue to press the company to pay the rest of the compensation, in addition to continue to demand the return of the employment files of dismissed workers an various others legitimate claims.
The company’s partial concession is the result of your support to us, which is essential in bringing enough pressure on the company through media exposure, without which the company would not even considering the payment of this small sum of compensation to us. Allow me to thank you once again for your support. Though we are separated by more than ten thousand miles it has not stopped you from coming forward to offer help to us. thank you very much for taking me with you on that splendid outing to london. it was the first timethat i had seen the tower or any of the other famous sights. if id gone alone, i couldnt have seen nearly as much, because i wouldnt have known my way about the weather wassplendid on that day, which i thought was rare. i still remember some people toldme that in britain there was weather and no climate. during the same day, it mightsnow in the morning, rain at noon, shine in the afternoon and be windy before thenight falls. so i think i was lucky.
i think the rivertrip was the best thing of all. london really came alive for me as we saw it fromthe thames during that wonderful journey down to greenwich. it was all tremendouslyexciting － a day that i shall never forget.
