In recent years, the volunteering spirit has spread among the Chinese people, especially among youngsters。 According to a survey, in 20xx, there were about 1,700,000 volunteers who offered service for Olympic Games。 Actually, an increasing number of people bee volunteers in China every year。
Volunteering actions are of tremendous benefits to both those in need and the society。 Olympic Games are a good example。 As is known to all, volunteers played an active role in Beijing Olympic Games。 Without them, it would be a tough task to hold this un-precedent Olympic Games。 Therefore, we can say that it was those volunteers who ensured the success of these games。
As modern college students, we should get actively involved in volunteering activities。 By participating, we can learn how to work well in a team, how to improve our interpersonal skills and organizational ability。 Undoubtedly, all of these are critical for our person growth。 So, we should take this chance to learn and to grow。
Social practice is a bridge between their theory and reality. So, in recent years, more students choose to take part-time jobs in or outside school.
In the social practice, students are sure to learn more than their textbooks. Their participation in social practice might strengthen their sense of social responsibility. Their close contact with the working people might help them to apply their knowledge to the solution to the practical problem. But many teachers complain that there are fewer and fewer students who pay attention to their study.
In my view, it's an undenied fact that students break the balance between their jobs and studies, especially when they fall into conflict. But I think students should spend their spare time taking part-time jobs. in social practice will benefit them all through their life.
we find a proper way to do anything .
In the cartoon we can see a tall and thin man, along with a short and stout man are using suitable hotpot for dinner. Apparently, the picture aims to emphasize that anything to be done must be measured in advance so that we are able to find a proper way to do it.
This same principle applies to solving any other problem. Firstly, when we want to know the reality of something, we must describe it like it is, getting rid of our prejudices and exaggerations, so that we can have an unbiased view. Secondly, the object should be analyzed in a concrete way so that we can grasp the reasons and rules of it. Thirdly, we must adapt our approach to solving a problem, for each situation is different from the others. So we must view a problem from different perspectives.
The cartoon implies different meanings to different people. A teacher should adopt different teaching methods according to the students in the class; a doctor should prescribe different treatments according to the patient’s symptoms; a farmer should seed different plants according to the various conditions of the earth. From a philosophical point of view, dissimilar problems should be approached differently. Good results come from attentive analysis of a problem.
My hometown is in the beautiful scenery, pleasant climate of the Yellow Sea coast and Lingshan Bay. When the warm spring breeze blows the green land, Qingming Festival is also coming quietly.
Qingming rain have, the pedestrian on the road". Qingming is a tradition of thinking of the ancestors of the festival, in the past, in the Qing Ming Festival, people in hometown will burn incense and burn paper before the ancestors' grave, in order to express their memory. In the new era, people's ideas are also changing, discarding stereotypes, now more flowers instead of burning incense and burning paper, both environmental and new civilized social atmosphere.
In remembering our ancestors' festivals, we should not only recall the brilliant achievements of our ancestors, but also carry them forward.
Happy Halloween! 萬(wàn)圣節(jié)
Halloween conjures up images of happy children going door to door trick or treating, bobbing for apples and glowing jack-o-lanterns. Through the centuries this has been the modern day scene for October 31st, Halloween, also known as All Hallows Eve.
All Hallows Eve, also known as Samhain, was originally observed by the ancient Celts as the day to celebrate the onset of Fall and the beginning of their New Year. It was also a festival of the dead, a time to remember those who had passed and a time when witches, goblins and demons could walk the earth.
Lanterns made out of gourds were left along paths to guide the way home for ancestors while others were carved with scary faces and carried or placed on porches to ward off the demons and witches. These lantern gourds are now the fancy and fun carved jack-o-lanterns we see today.
Celebrations of ancient rituals remain, but in somewhat different forms. Children used to go door to door begging for items to burn with the witches. Today they go door to door trick or treating for candy. The playing of tricks on unfortunate victims also lends All Hallows Eve to be known as Mischief Night. In ancient days, children dressed as goblins and ghosts would play tricks and cause trouble, but who is to say it wasn't the real ghosts and goblins being mischievous.
At Halloween parties, children bob for apples and girls comb their hair in front of a mirror to glimpse their future husbands. Many of the fun games come from ancient rituals that were based in very basic spells and magic and practiced on All Hallows Eve when magical powers were said to be at their strongest.
Today, celebrations of Halloween remain popular. Children still go trick or treating. Jack-o-lanterns glow on porches and bobbing for apples and other games still entertain at parties. In some schools and communities they do not recognize the celebration of Halloween proper due to the connection with Paganism. Instead, they have a Fall Harvest, recognizing the coming of winter.
Dear Dad,
Today I was at the shopping mall and I spent a lot of time reading the Father’s Day cards. They all had a special message that in some way or another reflected how I feel about you. Yet as I selected and read, and selected and read again, it occurred to me that not a single card said what I really want to say to you.www.rr365.com
You’ll soon be 84 years old, Dad, and you and I will have had 55 Father’s Days together. I haven’t always been with you on Father’s Day nor have I been with you for all of your birthdays. It wasn’t because I didn’t want to be with you. I’ve always been with you in my heart but sometimes life gets in the way.
