On Water Shortage
No one can deny the fact that water shortage is a grave problem (嚴(yán)肅的問(wèn)題) with which the whole world is confronted（面對(duì)）. Actually, it has become so widespread that it has severely affected people’s daily life and hindered（阻礙）the development of the global economy.
A number of factors could account for the problem, but the following might be the critical（關(guān)鍵性的）ones. Firstly，the ever-increasing （不斷增長(zhǎng)的'） population is a leading cause of water shortage. As populations increase, the demand for water grows accordingly. secondly, people everywhere waste water without even realizing it(毫無(wú)意識(shí)的): showers last too long， taps are left running and so forth. Last but not least, the industrial production will cause water contamination (水污染)and it will also decrease the existing water resources (現(xiàn)有的水資源)further more.
In view of the seriousness of the problem, effective measures must be taken before things get worse. For one thing, it is essential that laws and regulations be worked out and enforced（制定和執(zhí)行） impose a heavy penalty on those who waste or contaminate waster deliberately . Secondly, a large-scale education campaign should be launched to inform the public of the significance of economizing on （節(jié)約）water. With these measures taken, it is reasonable for us to believe that this problem can be perfectly solved in the near future.

The Spring Festival，Chinese New Year，is the most important festival for all of us。 All family members get together on New Year'Eve to have a big meal。At the same time，everyone celebrates to each other。At about 12 o'clock，some parents and children light crackers。The whole sky is lighted brightly。 We may watch the fireworks excitedly。How busy it is！
On the first early moring of one year，many senior citizen get up early and they stick the reversed Fu or hang some couplets on the front door。 Some house's windows are sticked on red paper cutlings。
The Chinese New Year lasts fifteen days。 So during the fifteen days，we always visit our relatives from door to door。 At that time，children are the happiest because they can get many red packets form their parents，grandparents，uncles，aunts and so on。 The last day of the Chinese New Year is another festival。 It names the Lantern Festival。
So the Chinese New Year comes to the end。
Will Christmas Replace the Spring Festival？
Christmas arouses increasing attention year by year in China。 Christmas cards become popular with students。 People hold Christmas parties and exchange Christmas girts。 A lot or TV and radio programs about Christmas are on。 Meanwhile the Spring Festival is less appealing to youngsters。 Thus some people wonder whether Christmas will replace the Spring Festival。
This worry is fairly unnecessary。 Why ？One reason lies that Christmas only affects Christians，college students and joint—ventureworkers。 Another reason is that Christmas is mostly celebrated in cities。 Few people in countryside show extreme interest in this exoticfestival。 By contrast，the Spring Festival is the most influential traditional festival in every family。
I think，it is natural that with increasing exchanges with the West，a lot of Western holidays have been gradually introduced into China。 For us Chinese we should never neglect or even discard our own traditional festivals。 For centuries Chinese have observed this traditional holiday to welcome the beginning of a new year。 And we will treasure the Spring Festival forever。
My plan of next year
A new year ，a new start，when I stand on the edge of a new year，I can't help thinking about my plan of next year。
Just as the old saying：“Well began is the half of the success�！盨o I decide that I should be at work while the others are still relaxing ，and then ，at the beginning ，I'm quicker than the others and of course I will get better result than the others。
But ，what I really decide to do is that I must make good of anytime I can spare though it seems impossible。 While，I will do my best to live up with what I have planned，and the result will prove it。

Pollution has been a serious problem for a certain time around the world. There are many causes for it. Transportation is the main factor of pollution. When the waste gas from cars is released the air is polluted. People breathing in the polluted air can develop respiratory disease. Another factor is that people throw their garbage everywhere. All kinds of garbage not only spoil the splendid environment but also cause environmental pollution. What's more industrial pollution also deserves our attention. Wastewater from factories is poured into rivers and this causes water pollution. As a consequence the greenhouse effect becomes a problem which needs our immediate caution and how to solve is urgent all over the world. At present some measures have been taken to prevernt. For example people classify the garbage and some is recycled after being collected. People are also encouraged to use paper products instead of plastic products because we know that our living condition will be worse if we keep ignoring this problem. And I believe we can prevent pollution if everyone makes the efforts.

I remember when I was about seven years old. My dads company is going to have a trip. So I go with my dad together. I was so excited, since I got on the coach I have not stop chatting to my dad and a little boy, who was my fathers friends son. Me and him got on since two years ago. He like follow me wherever I go.( when we was on a trip.) I sat on the and talked to him.
"How do you feel about this trip?" Jack asked.( that little boys name.)
"Little bit scared, because I know we are going to a famous place, at there you got to sat on a boat and travelling on the river bank, you allowed buy some weapons."( water guns) I answered happily.
Dad was playing card on the coach with his friend. Me and Jack was getting boring to sit there doing nothing. So I decide to ask my dad, If I allowed have a pack of playing card. He let me have a pack of the playing card, so me and Jack could play something.
Later when settled our stuff and suitcase in the hotel. Then, we go outside again on that boring coach to the place which me and Jack has been talked about all morning. It is lots people there that you could easily got lost. The river we are going to floating on has great tall mountain next to it. Me and Jack and my dad and Jacks mother got on a boat, we were ready to go, but a man walk over and said one boat got to have six people on it. The four of us was shocked by the information. We were all thinking about how are we going to find another two in three minutes. But just then a big man and a thin man has come on our boat.
When the man said we could go, another ship next to us allowed to go in the same time. So I called them as competitor. Jack called it easy piece lemon squeeze, soon afterwards the boat has got some water guns and bucket through out the rest of the floating time.
It was the best trip I have never ever had.
