　　some people think we should read selectively. they argue that with the development of modern science and technology, more and more books are published every day. it is impossible for us to read all the books. what’s more, there are many bad books that are poisonous to our mind, and we shouldn’t read them. since we can’t read all the books, and we shouldn’t read bad books, we must read selectively.but others many not agree. they emphasize that today’s society is not what it used to be. if you want to be successful, you must read widely and learn knowledge in both natural sciences and humanities. if a man knows much in one field but knows nothing in others, he may be useless. since we must have many kinds of knowledge, we must read etensively.

　　who’s right? there is a lot to be said for both sides of the argument. however, i think we should read etensively first and then learn deeply about the subject we are interested in.

　　前一段時間，學(xué)校舉行英語節(jié)，這可是我們第一次參加學(xué)校的.英語節(jié)，大家都信心滿滿地去挑戰(zhàn)，想看看自己的英語水平怎么樣。來到闖關(guān)現(xiàn)場，大家都是高興而去，垂頭喪氣歸來，不用說，他們在第一關(guān)就慘遭淘汰�？吹酵瑢W(xué)們一個個愁眉苦臉地被淘汰，本來充滿信心的我心里也砰砰跳個不停。所以，面對第一關(guān)老師的口語交流，我的腦袋一片空白，還沒等我明白究竟怎么一回事，我也和所有同學(xué)一樣被淘汰了。

　　輪到張鈺涵了，同學(xué)們把目光都聚焦在她身上。只見她滿臉笑容地和老師對話，看起來很輕松，老師不停地點頭，最后還和張鈺涵握手，耶，順利過關(guān)，大家不由自主地為張鈺涵鼓掌。第二關(guān)，認讀單詞。通關(guān)老師拿著單詞卡片，張鈺涵看著單詞朗讀，一張、兩張、三張張鈺涵一口氣讀完了通關(guān)老師手里每一張單詞卡片，我們都覺得不可思議，而張鈺涵呢，微笑著讓通關(guān)老師蓋通關(guān)印章，好像這些單詞對她來說一點難度都沒有似的。第三關(guān)，認讀句子。這可是最難的一關(guān)，我覺得她肯定過不了，可事實和我想的恰恰相反，她不費吹灰之力就讀出了卡片上的句子。三關(guān)全部通過，張鈺涵高興地跳起來！我們一個個驚訝的大嘴好像能塞下一個拳頭。

　　這次英語闖關(guān)，讓我對張鈺涵刮目相看。我決定向張鈺涵學(xué)習(xí)，好好學(xué)英語，等明年闖關(guān)的時候，和她一樣順利通關(guān)。
