　　波東寺（Phodong Monastery）建于1721年。1947年毀于一場大火，1948年重建。一年一度的查姆節(jié)于陰歷10月28、29日慶祝。

　　Phodong Monastery is situated in the northern part of the state of Sikkim. It lies at a distance of approximately 28 km from the capital city of Gangtok. One of the six most important monasteries of Sikkim, Phodong dates back to the early 18th century. However, the monastery that we see today is not the original one and was rebuilt. Presently, it boasts of being one of the most beautiful monasteries in the state and serves as the residence of approximately 260 monks.

　　The monastery also has a rich collection of some ancient murals. The annual festival at Phodang Gompa of India takes place on the 28th and 29th day of the tenth month of the Tibetan Calendar (usually December). The celebrations of the festival include the performance of religious dances by the monks.

　　要重視詞匯的學習。外研初中英語為詞匯的學習提出了明確的要求:不帶標記的單詞,要求學生會讀,聽得懂,會拼寫,能說出詞義和詞類。帶*號的單詞,只要求會讀,聽得懂,不要求拼寫。標注△的單詞只要求理解,不要求記憶。

　　鞏固學過的詞匯。為了更好的記憶,必須認真復習,及時鞏固。艾賓浩斯遺忘曲線表明,遺忘的進程是不平衡的,在識記后短時間內遺忘較快,以后逐漸緩慢。教師在教學過程中要把這一規(guī)律介紹給學生,告誡他們在學習詞匯時,必須及時復習,經(jīng)常復習,合理分配時間和內容,這樣才有助于記憶的鞏固。

　　要加強對語法知識的記憶。英語中規(guī)定了以下主格形式:I,you,he,she,it,we,they.對應的賓格形式:me,you,him,her,it,us,them.諸如此類的語法知識,都應當牢固記憶,避免錯誤。

　　要加大對語法知識的訓練,人們常說,熟能生巧。只有通過一定量的訓練,才能熟練運用語法知識。訓練可分為單項訓練和綜合兩部分。首先要從單項訓練開始,然后進行綜合訓練。

　　運用多種形式,培養(yǎng)學生的寫作能力

　　寫作訓練與對話教學相結合。在對話教學中,除了聽錄音、對話、表演和編寫相似的.對話外,教師還可要求學生把對話改寫成一段短文。學生在改寫短文的過程中,要注意時態(tài)、語態(tài)、人稱和前后的邏輯關系。

　　寫作訓練與閱讀教學相結合。學生利用課文的關鍵詞(keywords)來復述課文,是提高書面表達能力的一種較好的方法。長期堅持復述課文的練習,既能鍛煉學生組織篇章結構的能力,又能夠提高他們語言的精煉度,使其寫作能力有較快的提高。

　　提倡學生用英語記日記,以改促寫。我提倡學生每周用英語寫兩篇日記,使寫日記成為提高作文水平、發(fā)揮才情的練兵常并號召學生在不涉及個人隱私、能夠在小范圍內公開的情況下,自愿交給老師批閱。我利用日記批語的“威力”來激發(fā)學生的英語寫作興趣,既促進學生在不斷練習中提高寫作水平,又在老師與學生之間架起了情感溝通的平臺。

　　以例句為單位進行句子操練

　　例句可以幫助學生理解語言現(xiàn)象的意義和基本用法,并加深印象和鞏固記憶,從而更快地達到學以致用的目的。但是,舉例并不是多多益善,而應講求質量,講究精練,有藝術性。好的例句可以一語破的,事半功倍,相反,平平淡淡、晦澀難懂的例句即使長篇累牘,也未必能給學生留下印象。根據(jù)不同的講解或訓練內容,例句的形式也應多種多樣。

　　注重英語作文的指導批改與評價

　　布置學生作文,要注意寫前指導,使學生明確主題以及可使用的關鍵句型,要求他們多用熟悉的單詞和短語,以減少錯誤,提高寫作效果。作文的批改和講評是寫作教學的最后一個環(huán)節(jié),也是不可或缺的一個環(huán)節(jié)。如果不批改,作文中的錯誤得不到及時糾正,寫得再多也收效甚微。但在批改過程中,如果抓住學生的錯誤不放,有錯必糾,改到最后,往往就變成了教師自己的文章。因此,教師可以讓學生主動參與批改,或互評互改,這既能體現(xiàn)學生的主體地位,又能使學生之間加強合作,互教互學,使寫作教學收到更好的效果。讓學生相互傳閱和批改作文不僅可以增加寫作的真實感,更重要的是能訓練學生的語言意識和敏感性。而教師可以在學生互評互改的基礎上選出好、中、差的作文進行批閱,從中找出學生作文中普遍存在的問題,記錄下來,課上講評總結。也可以在批改時,只把其中的錯誤劃出,讓學生自己動手改錯后再給教師看。
