My preference depends on the purpose of the travel. On a summer vacation I travel to refresh myself and to see the countryside. When I use my feet and walk on a grass covered path along a river or among the hills I feel detached from the noise of the city and closer to the nature. And when I travel on foot I get more freedom. I can plan my own schedule. I can choose my own route. I can stop where I like. From the report we can see that in 20xx，40 percent of people stayed at home for holidays. But now the proportion has reduced to 9 percent. More people go out for fun. The proportion of camping and traveling abroad was increasing steadily， from 10 percent in 20xx to 38 percent in 20xx， and 12 percent in 20xx to 26 percent in 20xx respectively. People enjoy the fresh air， clean Water and green hills when they go camping in the suburbs. In 20xx，38 percent people enjoyed going to the seaside while in 20xx only 27 percent prefer to go there. Why did those changes appear? I think there are several reasons. First， it' s because people can afford traveling. Second， people prefer to pursue a high-quality and colorful life. Last August my parents and I went to Europe for a visit. We had a wonderful time there.

The sky was blue, and the sunshine was bright. There were not so many tall buildings there as we had expected. Most of the people there were polite and friendly.
I was glad that when I spoke a little English, they all understood. After we stayed there for half a month, I began to miss my hometown. I couldn't live there for a whole life, though it was beautiful.
去年八月我和父母去歐洲旅游，在那里玩得很開(kāi)心。

Tourism， in terms of its objective purposes， has a social function which contributes to human munication. Coming from vadous social backgrounds， having motives and goals of every kind， tourists get together， draw close and exchange ideas of their own， from which a fresh state of mind will be created. So what kind of production is it? To the question we should have good reason to give a proper answer: it is a spirit production， a reproduction of relations of production. And the more frequently such exchanges are made， the more good they will do to promoting social and economic development of the mutual. If it is the case that making money through tourism means a dent we have made， so it foretells a fortune to provide cultural service along with tourism. Therefore， to keep close eyes on the latter involves changing our minds first， that is， tourism is by no
means a pure economic concept， but takes plenty of ideological activities as its content.
To sum up， unlike other economic forms， the profits from tourism economy cannot be measured pletely by means of how much output value， profit， and foreign exchange it will produce. In addition to the reputation of pollution-free industry， its social and far-reaching profit should be probed more deeply. As such the existing scenic spots ought to be kept in good maintenance， and some new ones exploited. Moreover， constructing first-class soft and hard surroundings is desired to attract tourists， the foreign and the domestic.

Currently, campuses of famous universities have become one of the popular tourist destinations. The phenomenon has aroused great public concern. There is no consensus (一致，共識(shí)) of opinions among people as to whether the university campus should be open to tourists.
Some argue that tourists should be denied access to the campus. After all, they believe, the Ivory Tower is not a park but a holy place reserved for college students. Tourists may distract students from their study. But others hold the opposing view that the revenues from campus tour may at least ease the university’s financial burden and be necessary for university’s maintenance and infrastructure(基礎(chǔ)設(shè)施).
If asked to voice my view on this, I favor the latter group of people. Whether campus tour brings profits or not, it should not be banned as long as tourists obey campus regulations. And I am convinced that campus tour are sure to do good to the popularization of university cultures.
