　　We left home quite early in order to avoid the traffic jam.About two hours later,we came to a nice place.It was near a river.We put our bicycles under the trees and went swimming.It was a very hot day.The water was very refreshing.

　　After having a swim,we had lunch in the cool shade under the trees.Then we went for a walk.We didn't come back home until the night fell.

　　今天，我早早吃了午飯，12:30就來到了越溪實(shí)驗(yàn)小學(xué)，參加下午1；00舉行的第八屆“時代杯”英語風(fēng)采大賽。來了以后，我們才知道,1:20才是真正動筆參賽的時間，參賽證上的競賽時間1:00實(shí)際上是進(jìn)考場的時間。來早了，我就多復(fù)習(xí)了一遍。

　　1:20開始做競賽題了。競賽題分聽力、基礎(chǔ)運(yùn)用、能力提升、圖形推理四個部分。我按照要求，先做筆試部分。我先在試卷上把一個一個題目做好，然后一邊檢查，一邊把答案謄到答題卡上，在小括號格子里填涂。

　　這次競賽的'試題還是有一定難度的，主要是有些詞語既沒教過，也從沒接觸過。實(shí)在沒辦法了，只好按照上下文的意思進(jìn)行推測了，有的還真給我推測對了呢。2:20分，我們開始進(jìn)行聽力測試。聽力要報題，我仔細(xì)把每道題都都聽得很認(rèn)真、很清楚，答題有很大把握。

　　最后，我又把答題卡上的答案和試卷上是否一致，進(jìn)行了一次復(fù)查。收卷時間到了，我交了試卷，趕往滄浪少年宮參加“小主人報”編輯部活動。
