　　Last week, I took part in an English speech contest which was held by our teachers. There were twelve students in the final contest. I was one of them.

　　Fifteen minutes before my turn, I picked my topic and prepared for it. I wrote down the outlines and organized what I was going to say. However, when I stood in front of all judges and students, I was extremely nervous. My mind was totally empty.

　　Then I took a deep breath to relax myself and started my speech. The result was not as good as I expected, but I preferred to regard it as a challenge to myself, whose process was the most important for me. I can learn a lot from this contest. I am sure I will be better next time.

　　Playing basketball can bring me some good friends, they have something in common with me, they always ask me to play it with them; And we can always share our skills together. 　　十二月二十二號，我和五個(gè)同學(xué)一起來到四眼碶中學(xué)參加英語比賽。

　　我們是第三個(gè)表演，原本非常自信，可看了前兩個(gè)表演后，頓時(shí)，成了一個(gè)個(gè)泄了氣的氣球。就說第二個(gè)表演吧，他們演的是英文的“三打白骨精”。內(nèi)容很多，也非常幽默，原本書中寫的.是悟空外出時(shí)，唐僧等人在原地休息，而表演的的同學(xué)們卻改編成了在原地打撲克。這讓全場的評委老師和同學(xué)都笑了起來。我們也哈哈大笑。不一會兒就到我們了。

　　我們徑直走上舞臺，快速布置起來。布置完背景后，我按照自己的稿子認(rèn)真地念了起來。在警察出場時(shí)，鬧了一個(gè)小笑話。我的旁白還沒有念完時(shí)，警察就出來了。這也注定了我們的分?jǐn)?shù)會下降。表演完了后，我們下場欣賞別的同學(xué)的表演了。

　　我看了接下來的表演，有的表演《狐貍偷肉》，有人表演《小紅帽》，還有人表演《狐假虎威》等經(jīng)典的故事，我覺得我們最多只能拿最后一名，所以在心里下定了決心要好好學(xué)習(xí)英語，成為英語小能手。

　　比賽雖然結(jié)束了，但我一定要好好學(xué)英語。
