　　Last week, I took part in an English speech contest which was held by our teachers. There were twelve students in the final contest. I was one of them. Fifteen minutes before my turn, I picked my topic and prepared for it. I wrote down the outlines and organized what I was going to say. However, when I stood in front of all judges and students, I was extremely nervous. My mind was totally empty. Then I took a deep breath to relax myself and started my speech. The result was not as good as I expected, but I preferred to regard it as a challenge to myself, whose process was the most important for me. I can learn a lot from this contest. 　　這次比賽無論是主持還是演講，都是全英文的。東看看，西看看，竟來了不少我認識的人。學校的幾位老師來做評委，還有一位外教呢！

　　比賽開始。首先，是兩位主持人一番簡短的介紹，然后選手開始挨個兒上臺。每個人都有一份課件，上面是演講內容，選手要流暢地背出稿子，才能得高分。他們一口流利的英語，聽得我云里霧里。我不由得感嘆道，這就是差距��！不過根據(jù)課件上的英文，我還是認出了一些單詞。

　　選手的情況也不同：有的`一口英語說得頭頭是道，聽得人一愣一愣的；有的上了臺過于緊張，忘了詞，又下來整理整理思緒再上臺；也有的背得不錯，卻出了一點小插曲的……可謂是千姿百態(tài)。

　　選手們講的內容各不相同：有的流暢地講了那些經(jīng)典的故事；有的介紹了自己喜歡的動物或東西；還有的講了自己從一句話或者一件事中感悟的道理……內容各不相同。

　　通過這次比賽，我深切地體會到了：人外有人，天外有天。我要更加努力地學習英語喲！

　　十二月二十二號，我和五個同學一起來到四眼碶中學參加英語比賽。

　　我們是第三個表演，原本非常自信，可看了前兩個表演后，頓時，成了一個個泄了氣的氣球。就說第二個表演吧，他們演的是英文的“三打白骨精”。內容很多，也非常幽默，原本書中寫的是悟空外出時，唐僧等人在原地休息，而表演的的同學們卻改編成了在原地打撲克。這讓全場的評委老師和同學都笑了起來。我們也哈哈大笑。不一會兒就到我們了。

　　我們徑直走上舞臺，快速布置起來。布置完背景后，我按照自己的稿子認真地念了起來。在警察出場時，鬧了一個小笑話。我的旁白還沒有念完時，警察就出來了。這也注定了我們的`分數(shù)會下降。表演完了后，我們下場欣賞別的同學的表演了。

　　我看了接下來的表演，有的表演《狐貍偷肉》，有人表演《小紅帽》，還有人表演《狐假虎威》等經(jīng)典的故事，我覺得我們最多只能拿最后一名，所以在心里下定了決心要好好學習英語，成為英語小能手。

　　比賽雖然結束了，但我一定要好好學英語。

　　這一個禮拜，我一直在為比賽做準備，可是因為圖片太多了，時間又緊張，所以我只準備了其中的10多幅圖片。

　　星期六下午，媽媽陪我去參加英語比賽。抽簽的時候，我看見我準備的圖片都被別的小朋友一張張抽走了，心里有點兒緊張。輪到我了，果然，我抽到了一幅沒有準備過圖片，我想：“這下可完了，真倒霉！可是，都已經(jīng)到了，也沒辦法了，只能再努力準備一下了�！鄙蠄龅臅r候，我不再緊張，我大方地做了自我介紹，并唱了一首英語歌，看圖說話開始了，大屏幕上出示了圖片，老師把話筒遞給我。我先介紹了圖片上的.人物，在介紹他們在干什么，30秒中里面，我大概說了八、九個句子。

　　比賽那天不知不覺就到了，我和爸爸、程老師到了歙縣教育局的`多媒體教室，這里可真是人山人海�。�......終于輪到我唱了。我拿著話筒，既高興又緊張，高興的是有機會站在臺前唱英語歌，為校爭光；緊張的是：畢竟是第一次唱英語歌，怕唱不好，鬧笑話。但在臺下，有爸爸給我加油，老師給我鼓勵。于是，我鼓足勇氣，唱了起來......唱完后，我用目光搜尋著爸爸和老師，他們正滿意地對我笑呢！

　　今天是英語比賽的復賽，我和爸爸早上早早的起床，然后出去吃早餐，我們到車站坐上車以后，我驚奇的發(fā)現(xiàn)我和聶澤坤做的竟然是同一班車！我們因為離得很遠，所以路上沒有說話。到了以后爸爸給我買了一瓶水就打出租車來到了我們比賽地點廣電大廈，我們向保安人員問清了演播廳在哪兒，就去了，正好又碰上了聶澤坤，他正好也要進去，我覺得我們像有緣分一樣。然后老師要開始點名了，因為姓名在電腦上，所以我就和聶澤坤一起看了看名單，發(fā)現(xiàn)喬尚卿（2班的.一位同學）第一，聶澤坤第二我第三，我們還發(fā)現(xiàn)，指導教師應該都是于海洋（Ms yu）,喬尚卿的卻被打成了丁海洋！我和聶澤坤都笑了起來。

　　開始點名了，我們在點名的桌子前面站成兩排，喬尚卿抽了34號，聶澤坤抽了33號，而我卻抽了14號！我們離得太遠了，就連不會的單詞都不能互相問一下。比賽開始了我們來到一個大廳里，在里面按順序坐好，開始抽紙條，上面寫著單詞，后面寫著幾個人表演，我抽了一個紙條上面寫著：Look snake help a boy （4人）。一個工作人員就又找了3個人和我合作。我們編排的故事情節(jié)大體是這樣的：一個男孩在森林里散步，忽然看見了一條蛇，有兩個小女孩路過，救起了小男孩，殺死了那條蛇。我上臺比賽的時候非常緊張，但是雖然心里緊張，表面上卻看不出來，我相信在選手里面我是最放松的一個。最后經(jīng)過好久的比賽，評出了成績，我的成績不太理想，不過還是得了一等獎，我驚喜的跳了起來，心里準備參加下一次比賽，但是后來工作人員的一句話潑了我一身冷水：特等獎的才有機會參加山東省的決賽！

　　唉~~我已經(jīng)努力了，不過我相信我會在雙語比賽中獲得冠軍，加油！

　　今年的英語歌謠比賽，從各班的保密程度及互相打探軍情的狀況，可以得知大家無不摩拳擦掌，希望奪下冠軍寶座。我們班也不例外，老師利用了音樂、體育課程，不斷緊鑼密鼓地練習，希望再度拿到好成績。

　　時間不斷地逼進，再過三天就要英語歌謠比賽了，同學們賣力地練習著跳舞、唱歌，一遍又一遍，此起彼落的歌聲回蕩在教室中，彷彿在訴說著我們有多么努力、認真。

　　回想起這幾個星期來，從選歌曲到編舞，每一個人絞盡腦汁地設計動作，努力練習歌曲的練唱著。一開始練舞蹈動作時狀況百出，有人像是木頭人般毫無韻律感；有人則是節(jié)拍總跟不上；有些人懶散甚至渾水摸魚，急得老師跳腳。大家總是等老師氣到臉紅脖子粗，如同火山爆發(fā)地破口大罵時，才一改懶散的態(tài)度嚴陣以待。

　　而媽媽在比賽這段時間，常常四處奔波只為了幫我們找尋適合歌曲的造型。有時我會陪媽媽一起去買材料，沒想到常常在車上一等就是好幾個小時。因媽媽對任何事都要求完美。他一直很在意每一個小細節(jié)，在家中總拿我當人形模特兒，讓我試穿各類型的衣服，只為了表現(xiàn)歌曲本身的精隨。有一次，下著滂沱大雨，媽媽一樣堅持要到后火車站找尋配件，她說她希望每個同學都有最獨一無二的造型，并為我們留下美好的回憶。當時，我知道自己不能再懶散了，看著媽媽辛苦的'付出，也讓我學會了“歡喜做，甘愿受”的道理。

　　這幾天我也不斷地苦練吉他，希望把每一個音節(jié)修正到位。媽媽更是千萬叮囑地請吉他老師幫我試音、調音。希望在我們比賽時，我精湛的電吉它飆音技巧能為我們班的歌曲做一完美開場，在評審心中留下深刻的印象。

　　看著同學們賣力地扭動身軀，扯開喉嚨地大聲歡唱，汗水淋漓的臉龐為我們的努力見證著，雖無法預知三天后的比賽成績，但是我知道我們團結努力地朝著目標前進的心，絕對無人能及！同學們，加油吧！

　　On March 22 nd we had a reading competition in a high school. That day, I was very nervous about the competition. I thought and thought…..and I said to myself,Austin, don’t worry it will be fine. After a while, my mom took me to that high school.

　　When I got into the seat of the car, my stomach started to hurt, but I knew that sort of thing will happen all the time during a stressful event like a reading competition. Later, after a few hours had past, it was my turn to walk up to the stage and say my lines. But wait! I looked over and noticed the judge wasn't looking at me- it was if she didn't respect me! We learned how important eye contact is during our assembly.

　　After I finished, the guests gave me great praise. I thought I would have a good mark.Then came the time to give out the certificates. When the person read Frobel ElementaryI thought it was me…..but it was my classmate Cindy. She had received second place. Then they read the first prize and I was disappointed it wasn’t me. I was very sad…… but……
