　　Last week, I took part in an English speech contest which was held by our teachers. There weretwelve students in the final contest. I was one of them. Fifteen minutes beforemy turn, I picked my topic and prepared for it. I wrote down the outlines and organized what I was going to say. However, when I stood in front of all judges and students, I was extremely nervous. My mind was totally empty. Then I took adeep breath to relax myself and started my speech. The result was not as good as I expected, but I preferred to regard it as a challenge to myself, whose process was the most important for me. I can learn a lot from this contest. 　　by seven-thirty the seats were almost filled. the school band was there; they wore yellow and black uniforms. they started to play at about a quarter to eight. everybody stood up, and the people sang. the game was about to start. two teams ran out to the floor. the referee blew his whistle, and the game started. a basketball game is divided into two halves, and each half is divided into two quarters. there is a rest period between the halves. during the first five minutes of the second half, the score was tied. from then on, the game was very exciting. first one team made a basket, then the other. the people cheered, and everybody was wondering which team was going to win.

　　今年暑假，我報名參加了全省少兒英語朗誦電視表演大賽。有三千多人參賽。比賽分為四個組別，分別是：幼兒組、小學(xué)A組（我參加的組別）、小學(xué)B組、中學(xué)組。分初賽、復(fù)賽、半決賽、決賽四個賽程。競爭很激烈，從三千人中最后決出四十名選手進入決賽。

　　我抱著試試看的心情參加了比賽，想練練膽子，希望能提高自己的英語水平。初賽的時候，我有些緊張，自我介紹的時候都卡殼了，不過幸好我的英語歌曲唱得不錯，順利過關(guān)，進入復(fù)賽。

　　復(fù)賽的時候，我的心情不那么緊張了，并且增加了一個Story time的才藝展示。幾天后，接到了參加半決賽的通知。

　　半決賽在杭州濱江區(qū)的浙江藝術(shù)職業(yè)學(xué)院的演播廳舉行。按規(guī)定，每個組別是20人參加，但是由于競爭很激烈，我們組有25人參賽，要選出10人參加決賽，比別的組更艱難。結(jié)果我發(fā)揮較為出色，殺入了決賽。哇，好高興！

　　一周后，決賽開始。評委也增加到了9個。比賽分為4個環(huán)節(jié)：自我介紹、才藝展示 、即興演講和評委提問，要求也更加嚴(yán)格，超過時間就會被卡斷。我抽到最后一個出場，由于還是有些緊張，居然漏了一項才藝表演。不過其他都發(fā)揮正常。

　　經(jīng)過2個多小時的'比賽和評委的認(rèn)真評選，獎項正式開出，我獲得了這次全省第二屆少兒英語朗誦電視大賽小學(xué)A組的銅獎。哈哈，真沒想到！通過這次比賽，我得到了鍛煉，開闊了眼界，也提高了學(xué)好英語的興趣。正像老師說的那樣，重要的不是結(jié)果，是參與比賽的過程！

　　比賽開始了！我們班被分成了四組，每組四人，我被排在B隊。我們B隊選中我負(fù)責(zé)記錄物品，一個男老師分給了我紙和筆，開始報物品的英文，總共是10個單詞。我那時候的心情應(yīng)該是緊張加激動吧，十種簡簡單單的`物品，我卻有好幾個字不會寫，哎！真是太緊張了。

　　寫好清單后，接下來的活動就有點像電視上的“購物街”。我們B隊飛快地沖進了物品區(qū)，開始分頭行動，按著清單上的物品，我們順利地把十樣物品都找齊了，水彩筆、計算器、糖果……看來勝利就在眼前了。

　　緊接著我們隊進入了最后一個階段就是歸還物品。趁A組還沒好時，我們隊把物品仔細(xì)對照了一遍，又把英文單詞念了一下，應(yīng)該是沒問題了。如果勝利女神對我們微笑，我們就可以到曼德沃超市去參加半決賽、決賽，那該有多好哇！

　　輪到我們了，我太緊張了，竟然把果凍單詞都讀錯了，不過馬上就糾正過來了。比賽還在進行中，我們隊順利地讀出了一個又一個的單詞，后來我們把所有的物品都?xì)w還給老師，比賽就結(jié)束了。覺得比賽時間好短，我感到好像還沒有玩夠似的。

　　最后，我們隊拿了第一名，這一刻，我們的美夢突然實現(xiàn)了，我們隊可以進入半決賽了！今天我好開心，我想我也會在半決賽中好好努力的。
