今天，我們學(xué)校舉行了一次英語(yǔ)合唱比賽，結(jié)果只得了第三名，想要知道是怎么回事嗎？這還要從進(jìn)場(chǎng)說(shuō)起。
“同學(xué)們，我們要進(jìn)場(chǎng)了，脫掉外套�！甭�(tīng)到口令，早就躍躍欲試的我們馬上站了起來(lái)，排好隊(duì)伍，向后臺(tái)走去，到了后臺(tái)，只見(jiàn)其他班的同學(xué)都在聽(tīng)班主任的最后幾句叮嚀，王老師隨即也說(shuō)了幾句，之后就要等我們上場(chǎng)了。
我們懷著緊張的心情，上了臺(tái)，面對(duì)著人山人海，心跳得更快了，原本生疏的歌，唱到后來(lái)就流暢了，這時(shí)，我突然發(fā)現(xiàn)周圍的人都沒(méi)在做動(dòng)作，我看見(jiàn)人家沒(méi)做，我也就沒(méi)做“怎么辦，這樣唱會(huì)得倒數(shù)第一的”
突然，發(fā)生了一個(gè)意外，唱到第二首開(kāi)頭竟然出了差錯(cuò)，我們聲音慢了下來(lái)，似乎每個(gè)人都在搜索開(kāi)頭的詞語(yǔ)，我眉頭緊鎖，那首歌好像在我腦海里像放電影一樣放著，不一會(huì)兒，便極力搜到了那句話，漸漸恢復(fù)了狀態(tài)。唱著唱著，時(shí)間一分一秒過(guò)去了，隨著音樂(lè)的'結(jié)束，我們也下了臺(tái)。

前幾個(gè)禮拜，為了英語(yǔ)讀者劇場(chǎng)比賽，英文老師和劉老師不停的教導(dǎo)我們，九位同學(xué)如何讓每個(gè)句子唸得高低起伏、抑揚(yáng)頓挫并加入感動(dòng)觀眾的情感，同時(shí)告訴我們?cè)趺匆詴r(shí)而適當(dāng)時(shí)而夸張的表情傳達(dá)故事的意義。我們馬不停蹄、加緊腳步的認(rèn)真練習(xí)了好久。當(dāng)然準(zhǔn)備了這么久，無(wú)非不是希望正式比賽，能有優(yōu)異而杰出的表現(xiàn)。
當(dāng)天，英文老師替緊張的我們打扮得引人注目，把臉蛋畫(huà)上濃濃的妝，幫頭發(fā)設(shè)計(jì)造型。到了休息區(qū)先加緊認(rèn)真練習(xí)，我們是第十一組，大家有時(shí)專注的練習(xí)，有時(shí)從電視中觀賞其他隊(duì)伍的演出。當(dāng)?shù)搅说谑M演出時(shí)，我們各個(gè)冒出帶著不安的汗水，臉色顯露出恐懼，而老師則是拉高嗓音，不斷的重復(fù)「一定得放大音量！」……等等的注意事項(xiàng)，這些提醒使我們更加惶惶不安！

這周，學(xué)校舉行英語(yǔ)周活動(dòng)。在老師的推薦下，讓我去參加英語(yǔ)歌曲比賽。終于，比賽的日子到了，我走進(jìn)大禮堂，看見(jiàn)大禮堂里坐著好多人，我的心開(kāi)始忐忑不安起來(lái)，總是想：萬(wàn)一我唱錯(cuò)了怎么辦？萬(wàn)一忘記歌詞怎么辦？萬(wàn)一……比賽開(kāi)始了，我們班的俞力銘第一個(gè)上場(chǎng)，只見(jiàn)他胸有成竹地唱起來(lái)，還加了許多活潑的動(dòng)作，臺(tái)下的觀眾都被深深地吸引了。唱完以后，俞力銘看到我害怕的樣子，說(shuō)：“別怕，只要你把下面的觀眾當(dāng)成蘿卜白菜就可以了。”

by seven-thirty the seats were almost filled. the school band was there; they wore yellow and black uniforms. they started to play at about a quarter to eight. everybody stood up, and the people sang. the game was about to start. two teams ran out to the floor. the referee blew his whistle, and the game started. a basketball game is divided into two halves, and each half is divided into two quarters. there is a rest period between the halves. during the first five minutes of the second half, the score was tied. from then on, the game was very exciting. first one team made a basket, then the other. the people cheered, and everybody was wondering which team was going to win.
the ball hit the rim of the basket and seemed to hang there for a moment, and then it fell through the basket. the whistle blew and the game was over. home team won, 70 to 68.

2. To introduce my favourite sport
I am an active girl, and I like playing sports very much. My favourite sport is swimming. Today my topic is To introduce my favourite sport. When I am swimming in the pool, I am very happy. I look like a lovely fish in the pond. I enjoy swimming, because swimming can make me strong and healthy. It can also bring me a lot of happiness.

4. An interesting thing
It is impossible to recall all the past, but I can assure you that my childhood is a pleasant one to me.
When I was in kinder garden, I was very popular with my playmates because of my naughtiness. Once I made an arrow, with which I hurt one of my playmates and received scolding from my mother afterwards.
When I grew up, my father and mother dare not allow me to play outside. But sometimes when we had time they would bring me to the parks, movies and went swimming.
I like swimming very much. Thank them for teaching me swimming. I like to play with my friends because I was only a girl. My mother often scolded me when I didn't get home after school but never too severely.
I love my parents. I do think it is one of the best years in my whole life.
5. My best friend
Lily is my close friend who I came to know in No.2 Middle School.
She is a teacher. She gave me a sharp impression when we met at the first time. Through chatting, we found that we have many common favorites, and finally we came to be friends.
Lily is tall and slender with white skin, long-black hair and a blue-frame glasses. She looks beautiful and graceful. She has good characters of considerate and gentle. So she is easy to get along with.
Lily is good at singing and dancing. She also has many other favorites, such as swimming outdoors, reading, surfing and so on. So she is a modern and intellectual young girl with diverse abilities and knowledge.
Lily is not only a good friend but also a teacher. I often told her the story when I was in trouble. And she always does her best to help me and encourage me to face up to the difficulties of life, till I am successful.
