今天就是英語(yǔ)外研比賽的日子了，我被安排在下午2.30那場(chǎng)，老媽的單位離考場(chǎng)比較近，上午我便跟她去單位值班。
我在老媽的辦公室里，一直都在背稿，時(shí)間過(guò)得很快，稿紙?jiān)谖业氖种胁煌５囟秳?dòng)，說(shuō)好的不緊張呢?
簡(jiǎn)單吃了點(diǎn)飯，老媽看我這副狀態(tài)，她提議說(shuō)，咱們提前溜達(dá)著去吧，就當(dāng)散散步。
午后的街道有些冷清，看到不錯(cuò)的景致，老媽竟不忘給我拍張照片啥的，她可真有興致。不覺(jué)中就來(lái)到了“寶睿國(guó)際未來(lái)小學(xué)”門(mén)口，我們是下午考生中來(lái)得最早的。
等了好久一些家長(zhǎng)才陪著孩子到來(lái)，有接待老師把我們安排在家長(zhǎng)等候區(qū)，并給選手們講了些注意事項(xiàng)，接著老師又讀了考場(chǎng)名單，我被安排在第三考場(chǎng)。
這是初賽，演講的內(nèi)容是自我介紹加才藝表演。我看到有的選手準(zhǔn)備得真棒!不光自己化了淡妝，還梳了很復(fù)雜很漂亮的辮子，有的還穿了美麗的裙子。有不少同學(xué)手里拿了畫(huà)板，上面是他們精心繪制的圖畫(huà)，他們邊指著自己的畫(huà)邊小聲念著英語(yǔ)，看來(lái)他們的才藝表演一定是用英語(yǔ)介紹自己的畫(huà)了。而我的才藝顯得多么的微不足道，我只打算讀一首英文小詩(shī)。
上午考完的同學(xué)在群里發(fā)來(lái)信息，他們說(shuō)很簡(jiǎn)單，評(píng)委主要看你的口語(yǔ)能力，覺(jué)得背不好的，也可以直接讀，我終于有了一些安心。
馬上就輪到我了，聽(tīng)到老師念我名字，稿子在我手中抖的更厲害了。原來(lái)考場(chǎng)里只有三位評(píng)委老師，但其中有一位外國(guó)人。我的心開(kāi)始咚咚跳個(gè)不停，手心也開(kāi)始冒汗。我剛說(shuō)一句“Hello everyone.”，三位評(píng)委老師便微笑著向我點(diǎn)頭示意。他們這一微笑，我反而不自在的'很，我僵硬的站在他們面前，機(jī)械地象在用英文誦經(jīng)一般，我甚至聽(tīng)到自己的聲音就象一只大蒼蠅在我周?chē)宋酥w，它飛飛停停，停停飛飛，可惡極了。我發(fā)現(xiàn)三位評(píng)委老師都在低著頭，記錄著什么，也不知他們聽(tīng)清了這“嗡嗡”聲沒(méi)有。自我介紹環(huán)節(jié)很快就完了，我看沒(méi)人看我，便拿出稿子，直接讀那首“四季”的小詩(shī)。依然沒(méi)人看我，平時(shí)讀得一點(diǎn)問(wèn)題都沒(méi)有，此時(shí)竟卡了好幾下，自己都覺(jué)得糟糕透頂。
三分鐘終于結(jié)束了，我向三位評(píng)委鞠了躬說(shuō)了“thank you”之后，心情才平靜下來(lái)。
因?yàn)槲沂亲詈笠粓?chǎng)，所以，我來(lái)到家長(zhǎng)區(qū)沒(méi)多久，就有老師進(jìn)來(lái)，當(dāng)場(chǎng)宣布進(jìn)入復(fù)賽的同學(xué)名單了。老師神采飛揚(yáng)，聲音洪亮，她說(shuō)：“非常高興地通知大家，祝賀以下進(jìn)入復(fù)賽的同學(xué)，讀到名字的同學(xué)也請(qǐng)家長(zhǎng)一起上臺(tái)!”
接著老師便念“張三，李四”，沒(méi)有我的名字!
我沮喪極了，連為大家鼓掌的力氣都沒(méi)有了。
也許從我站到臺(tái)上的那一刻就被評(píng)委老師“秒殺”掉了。老媽反倒安慰我說(shuō)：“你在這里登過(guò)臺(tái)，已經(jīng)很棒了。但一定記住，臺(tái)上一分鐘，臺(tái)下十年功啊�！�
是的，通過(guò)參加這次比賽，我也找到了自己努力的方向。
路過(guò)一家烘焙店，我說(shuō)：“老媽，給我買(mǎi)點(diǎn)吃的吧，我要化悲痛為力量!”

Last summer,I had an English contest on environmental protection at the Youth Culture Palace of the city.What an unforttable experience for me!
The contest,whose aim was to let more people know the bad environmental conditions we are facing and the urgency of protecting it,was hosted by the Environmental Protection Burua.Fifty top contestants from twenty schools throughout the city took part.All of them were required to answer the questions in English in ten minutes.In order to prepare for it,I went through a very hard time.
When I was chosen to attend the competition,I felt nervous first,for my English was not good.But after a deep thinking,I made a decision that I should go for it.That's a very good opportunity for me to improve my English,as well as know more about the environmental protection which is of great importance to us human beings.I began to learn English very hard,paying much attention to the knowledge of environmental protection,such as using environmentally friendly bags instead of plastic ones,saving water and electricity and taking a bus and underground when going out.That's hard work,but I enjoyed it.
The exciting time came at last.On the morning of July 27th,20xx,thousands of people crowded at the Youth Culture Palace,watching the contest.Now it was my turn to perform.I was a little nervous at first.I tried to calm down.Soon I was OK.I answered the questions one after another,no mistakes occurring.Ten minutes passed by,I went back to my seat,smiles on my face.I did a good job.
To my great delight,the first prize came to me.I knew I deserved it.Hard work leads to success.

By seven-thirty the seats were almost filled. The school band was there; they wore yellow and black uniforms. They started to play at about a quarter to eight. Everybody stood up, and the people sang. The game was about to start. Two teams ran out to the floor. The referee blew his whistle, and the game started. A basketball game is divided into two halves, and each half is divided into two quarters.
There is a rest period between the halves. During the first five minutes of the second half, the score was tied. From then on, the game was very exciting. First one team made a basket, then the other. The people cheered, and everybody was wondering which team was going to win.

Did you ever want to win first prize in a reading competition? Maybe or maybe not.But how would you feel if you thought you had done really well and then didn't? You would feel really awful…
On March 22 nd we had a reading competition in a high school. That day, I was very nervous about the competition. I thought and thought…..and I said to myself,Austin, don’t worry it will be fine. After a while, my mom took me to that high school.
When I got into the seat of the car, my stomach started to hurt, but I knew that sort of thing will happen all the time during a stressful event like a reading competition. Later, after a few hours had past, it was my turn to walk up to the stage and say my lines. But wait! I looked over and noticed the judge wasn't looking at me- it was if she didn't respect me! We learned how important eye contact is during our assembly.
After I finished, the guests gave me great praise. I thought I would have a good mark.Then came the time to give out the certificates. When the person read Frobel ElementaryI thought it was me…..but it was my classmate Cindy. She had received second place. Then they read the first prize and I was disappointed it wasn’t me. I was very sad…… but……
I must tell everyone in here, when you go to a competition win or lose you shouldn't care. You should care about whether or not you did your best. You need to ask yourself- Did you learn anything for entering this competition? Do you have the courage to read a story to a huge audience?
Just remember always try to do your best, and the results will still be beautiful!
