Planning is good as it decides in detail how we do.However,a plan can bear no fruit without being actually carried out.
My experience in the English speech contest last October is a case in point.A month before the event,I spent hours working out a schedule outlining my goals and practical steps.After that,I set out to read widely for an inspiring topic,wrote a speech,and practiced its delivery in beautiful pronunciation with good public speech skills.I finally came out of the contest as the first prize winner.
I know how I achieved my success. It came from good planning and better doing combined.

七彩橋非常雄偉、壯觀。橋長(zhǎng)分別按照四大洋的距離設(shè)定，有10米寬。中間走車輛，兩邊是人行道。兩邊的欄桿是一只只張開(kāi)的.手掌連成的，意思是中國(guó)歡迎世界人民。這座橋很高，是用石頭砌成的，隔不遠(yuǎn)會(huì)有一根根鋼筋緊緊扎到海底，平時(shí)風(fēng)大浪高時(shí)不會(huì)把橋沖毀。
The colorful bridge is magnificent. The length of the bridge is set according to the distance between the four oceans, with a width of 10 meters. Vehicles in the middle, sidewalks on both sides. The railings on both sides are connected by an open hand, which means that China welcomes the people of the world. The bridge is very high. It is made of stone. There will be a steel bar tied to the bottom of the sea not far away. It will not be destroyed when the wind and waves are high.

I＇ll never forget the Sunday when we saw the American film Turning Point. Though the actors and the actresses spoke very fast and I coudn＇t catch every word of the story, I got the main idea. Then we talked about the film for almost the whole day. It was, moreover, my turning point.
