　　When early man invented clothes,he probably wanted to keep warm.I am sure he never intended that it should become as elaborate as it has become today.For many a year,traditional clothes and modern clothes have been in competition as to which of them make the wearer more beautiful.But it does seem that a lot of modern clothes are simpler and more practical.Perhaps we are moving back to the age of cavemen who wore clothes for practical purposes.

　　Modern clothes are definitely more practical as against traditional clothes.Almost all people now wear modern clothes.Nowadays even more and more people wear casual clothes.Jeans are everywhere except at formal parties.T-shirts are common,too.They look comfortable and fashionable.However,there are also a lot of people who take the trouble to dress well in formal clothes like shirts,trousers and suits.I find them smart,too.

　　But then,it is important to hold on to our topic.In my opinion,each type of dress has its place.Modern clothes are ideal for most situations,while casual clothes are worn more freely.As to traditional clothes,they must be worn for special occasions

　　今年四月到六月，我參加了20xx年“希望之星”英語風(fēng)采大賽。這可是全國性的比賽哦！必須要闖過海選、市賽和省賽三關(guān)，才能去北京參加中央電視臺的總決賽。

　　參加市賽的早上，我和媽媽坐車到了目的地。當(dāng)時，太陽特別大，天特別熱，而且人山人海。我們到了之后趕緊報到，接著就排隊去比賽了。因?yàn)槲沂亲詈笠粋�，等了好久才輪到我，裁判先讓我抽圖，準(zhǔn)備看圖說話，再自我介紹。我覺得自己前兩個環(huán)節(jié)表現(xiàn)得挺好的，最后是回答問題，這個環(huán)節(jié)有點(diǎn)難，四個題中我只答出兩個。緊接著裁判宣布結(jié)果，我心想：肯定有我！肯定有我！結(jié)果，真的有我！我拿了市賽一等獎，進(jìn)入了省賽。

　　省賽的'準(zhǔn)備過程是非常艱難的，又是背臺詞，又是準(zhǔn)備自我介紹，還有模擬考試。僅僅是看圖說話環(huán)節(jié)，一訓(xùn)練就是一上午……

　　終于迎來了省賽。我懷著緊張的心情走進(jìn)賽場，里面很安靜，選手們都在努力地背詞，我也不甘示弱。自我介紹環(huán)節(jié)，我們都做得非常好，看圖說話環(huán)節(jié)就比較慘了，得知成績后，我的心情非常低落，爸爸媽媽安慰我，要我別泄氣，要我在下午最后一個環(huán)節(jié)加油，還特意給我復(fù)習(xí)了幾遍演講內(nèi)容，我的心情又明朗起來。下午的比賽開始了，輪到我上場了，我站在臺上，信心十足地完成了演講，最后的分?jǐn)?shù)還不錯哦！

　　我的20xx年“希望之星”英語風(fēng)采大賽結(jié)束了，雖然我沒有踏上國賽舞臺，但是我雖敗猶榮！這個過程中，我見識到了那些高手們的厲害！我一定要好好學(xué)習(xí)英語！我一定會回來的！明年再戰(zhàn)！

　　D : 歡迎來到江漢大學(xué)第五屆英語演講比賽決賽的現(xiàn)場。

　　T:Welcome to the final of the 5th English speaking contest of Jianghan University. L : 本次大賽由江漢大學(xué)讀者協(xié)會舉辦，從三月初到現(xiàn)在，經(jīng)過層層篩選，八位選手從數(shù)百名選手中脫穎而出，來到我們決賽現(xiàn)場。

　　T : This contest is organized by the Readers Association of Jianghan University. 8 prominent contestants have distinguished themselves in the preliminary and intermediate contests.

　　G : 在此，我想說的是，你們每一位參賽選手都是優(yōu)秀的，一路走來，還能夠留在今天的`舞臺上更是了不起的，希望你們八位再接再厲，再創(chuàng)佳績，同時給在場的各位帶來一場更為精采感官性的饕餮大餐。

　　四、宣布比賽環(huán)節(jié)和評分細(xì)則

　　Now I would like to introduce the rules for the contest

　　Today's competition has two phases: The first phase is a 5 minutes’ speech show, which composes 60% of the score. In this part, the contestants are supposed to make a 3 minutes’ impromptu speech according to the topics , and then they will answer the questions raised by our judges, and the time limit is 2 minutes.

　　And the second phase is the role play of each contestant, which takes 40% of the final score. Every one of them will be given 5 minutes to display their role they selected beforehand.

　　After the performance by the contestants, our judges will give fair judgment according to the comprehensive performance of each contestant. We will have one champion, two second prizes winners, three third prize and the rest contestants will get the Excellence Award. I wish all of them achieve a lot, and have good luck.

　　星期四，那個下著蒙蒙細(xì)雨的早晨，懷著緊張和激動的心情，我來到了磐安教育局參加一場鄭重的比賽:英語口語電視大賽。

　　我們經(jīng)過一個小時的路程，我們來到了比賽場地。我看見幾百個選手在侯場區(qū)等待，天哪！真是高手如云啊��！看到這個場面，連參加過多個比賽的我也讓緊張和沉重的心情朝我涌來。我拿到了63這個號碼，多少給了我一點(diǎn)安慰，還好不是在很前面。

　　讓我沒想到的.是，前面的人一下就比好了，很快便輪到了我。我拿著我制作的道具走進(jìn)了賽場�？匆娝膫�評委親切的笑容，我又不緊張了，其中一個評委還是來自加拿大的國際友人。我面帶笑容，十分流利地講完了我的稿子，對評委說了一句：Goodbye！我高興地走出了賽場。心里一塊沉重的石頭落了下來。

　　比賽后的沒幾天，我便知道了我的名次，我拿了一等獎里的第六名。太不可思議了，我竟然拿了一等獎！可是我與決賽擦肩而過了。我覺得太可惜了，但我還是為進(jìn)決賽的人高興，希望他們能在決賽中取得好成績。

　　每一次比賽，都是一次成長的過程，這場比賽，讓我多了一個美好的回憶，一次成長的歷練。
