　　本周周3星期四原本是有英語課的可是聽說音樂老師的女兒在外地生病住院了，老師就去那里去照顧她的女兒去了，所以這兩節(jié)課就有新老師來帶星期三下午是有兩節(jié)英語課的，老師竟然給我們找了一個代課的.老師。這個老師我原本在我考試的時候遇見過兩回，都是給我監(jiān)考的那個，監(jiān)考老師看他的樣子，我開始一直以為他是一個數(shù)學老師。也感覺他并不是那么嚴，而早上第一次上課時看他做了連續(xù)好幾個搞笑的動作讓全班都大笑了起來。

　　聽他講的東西都在電腦上，可是他好像連電腦都不太會用，這看上去都感覺他十分的好笑�？墒呛髞硭�不是那么好笑，他還是很嚴格的。只要上課說話就要站到外面去，而且他還說幾個人說話是討論的就到外面去討論區(qū)，說完再回來。雖然是這樣說，可是還是沒有人敢到外面出去，說不定出去之后就再也不能回來了。

　　感覺他的英語教的還行。他做的英語課件還行，可哪都都太多了，7，8，9年級的部分都有。星期五下午要開家長會，都是在一起開了。不讓他知道這樣說無非是在后面說我們以后怎么辦，下學期可以上績效，就可以去上了。想上高中了依舊要好好帶上。

　　Having learned English for more than ten years, I＇ve met several English teachers. Each has his or her own strong points. The following are some of my ideas about what an ideal English teacher should be like.

　　First, an ideal English teacher should have correct pronunciation and intonation. When we learn a language, we hear it mostly from our teacher. If the teacher is not correct in his pronunciation and intonation, how can he expect his students to be right? Second, an ideal English teacher should be fluent in his spoken English. He must be able to express himself well in English. Third, an ideal teacher should have a good command of both the English language and his mother tongue. He should be clearly aware of the differences between the two languages and the two cultures. Moreover, an ideal English teacher should have a strong sense of humor so that he can keep his classroom filled with laughter. Finally, an ideal English teacher should know the art of teaching and be able to motivate his students to study and equip them with the correct way of learning English.

　　A great change is now taking place in higher education throughout our country。 Teachers are being held responsible as never before for how well they serve their students。 It has become as common in colleges and universities for students to grade teachers as for teachers to grade students。 In some universities students＇ rating has even become the only source of information on teaching effectiveness。

　　This， however， has caused great controversy。 Some are in favor of the rating system。 They hold that since students attend the teachers classes everyday， they should have their opinion about their teachers＇ effectiveness。 Others， on the contrary， are strongly against it。 They think that students＇ rating is easy to administer and score， but it also is easy to abuse。 They believe that there is much more to teaching than what is shown on students＇ rating forms。 Students should not be expected to judge whether the materials used are up to date or how well the teacher knows about the subject。These judgments require professional knowledge， which is best left for the teachers＇ colleagues。

　　I think students＇ rating of their teachers is necessary， but it should be conducted in a way that can really shed meaningful light on teachers＇ performance。 Instead of rating the teachers＇ knowledge on the subject， students should be asked to estimate what they themselves have leaned in a course， and to report on such things as a teacher＇s ability to communicate with students， his relationship with students， and his ability to arouse interest in the subject。
